ABOUT

LOCATION: Uganda

WHAT WE DO: The motto of NGO "Gate of Hope" is "Seek first the Kingdom of God". Our goal is to bring glory to the Father by making disciples of Jesus (John 15:8). We respect cultural differences and see our role as supporters, encouraging Ugandans to fulfill their callings.

About Gate of Hope, Mission to the East - Uganda:

Our names are Honorata Wasowska and Piotr Wasowski. In 2007, Honorata spent 8 months in Uganda. After she came back to Poland, she could not resist God's calling to help needy people in Uganda, especially orphans.

In 2008, Honorata and Piotr started fundraising and supporting Christian work in western Uganda through sponsorship of children and supporting Christians schools. In 2013, we started a Ugandan NGO "Gate of Hope" to fulfill the vision God gave us in 2010: to concentrate on supporting Christian education and evangelism. To date, we have started 5 schools as Gate of Hope (2 kindergartens, 1 primary school, 1 high school, 2 tertiary schools). The total number of children enrolled in our schools is approximately 520. Since 2016, through our workers doing door to door evangelism, around 800 people have come to faith, and we have started 3 churches. We also support 3 orphanages and 6 other Christian schools.

The motto of NGO "Gate of Hope" is "Seek first the Kingdom of God". Our goal is to bring glory to the Father by making disciples of Jesus (John 15:8). We respect cultural differences and see our role as supporters, encouraging Ugandans to fulfill their callings.

We live in Kalisz in Poland with our two children, ages of 6 and 8, but every year we come to Uganda as a family for few months. As NGO "Gate of Hope" we employ 71 workers. We co-ordinate the work from a distance because God has given us with faithful Ugandan co-workers. We also encourage Polish volunteers to come to Uganda and minister here and use their gifts.
